Running for a City Council Seat in the City of North Salt Lake

For those looking to see how I stand on all issues, please go here.  If you don't see a particular issue or question, please email me (peter4nsl@gmail.com).

I will reply to you directly and post the questions/answers to the website.

Who is Peter?

I have lived in this area for about 18 years and raised my family here.  My wife and I have four children.

I decided to run for a City Council seat for the City of North Salt Lake so that I can play an active part in my community with what I have learned and continue to learn.  I have experience in leadership and board positions.  I was appointed to the Parks, Trails, Arts, and Recreation (PTAR) Advisory Board (website), and I currently serve as a volunteer on the Board of Directors of the Deseret First Credit Union.

If you have specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at Peter4NSL@gmail.com

I look forward to meeting with you and serving your City of North Salt Lake.

Thanks.

Desire to Serve

In February, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Washington D.C.  While there, I was able to see much of the Washington sites.  My favorites were the war memorials near the Washington Memorial. I was inspired by the names of those soldiers the paid in blood for the freedoms that I enjoy.

This picture is at the Vietnam Memorial, which I was impressed with the reflection with the names of those who had died. It made me ponder on what legacy of freedom can I leave behind.  I'd love to serve you, listen to you, and make decisions on your behalf for the betterment of our city.

Who I am

When I was young, my family moved twice.  Once from Utah to Houston, then six years later, we moved back.  As a teenager back in Utah, I was able to retreat into the mountains.  I bought my first real mountain bike and even put front suspension on it as an after-market upgrade.

I have learned a lot on my mountain bike.  It has become a great outlet for me as I deal with life.  I have enjoyed being on the trails and enjoy volunteering my time to improve trails and sharing my love for the sport and the outdoors.
